This past month we headed down to Florida for Spring Training Baseball and a trip to Disney world. We wanted to go to Harry Potter but it wasn't open yet. It was a lot of fun and we had a great time just playing and hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa Cook. Here are some fun pics of our trip to Florida!!
(For my journaling I am going to do a day by day review....so feel free to skip over the long journaling and move on down to the pics!!! )
Easton and all his animals lined up ready to go!!
Easton and his ears and his new back pack!! So excited to go and see Mickey Mouse!
We went to Magic Kingdom the first day-WOW so crowded. We ended up riding the train, seeing Mickey and then the kids and Dad's were done!! So off they went back to the hotel and Cathy and I got to have a little girl time!! It was very fun, we went to the Haunted Mansion which I will have to say the Disney world mansion is really cool. Then that night we got to watch the fireworks by the castle!! Something I have wanted to do for a long time and never had the chance!!
Waiting for the Train!
AWWWW ...love this picture
Easton and Donald!!!
Watching the parade by the castle!
The fireworks and the castle all lit up were so fun!!!
Sunday we hung out at the hotel and went on a boat ride! I am sure we were being watched by a few alligators but it was a nice relaxing day. It felt so nice to be in the warm sun again!! Also we drove out to the ocean at Coco Beach!! Easton is still scared of the ocean! Who knows what's so scary to him about it but he hasn't grown out of it yet, maybe when he gets a little older he will love it!
Grandma and Grandpa taking a relaxing boat ride!
At the hotel and Maddux's crazy face!
Monday we went over to Hollywood Studios. We saw the Playhouse Disney show and rode the Toy Story ride. After eating pizza and watching a parade Easton got to see Lightning McQueen and Mater...he was in awe!! Clint and I went over to Downtown Disney that night and got to enjoy a quiet night out! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for watching the boys. It was a nice night out we ate at a cool restaurant and had lobster for the first time, so yummy, and lots of crab legs. Then after walking around we had the best hot chocolate I have ever tasted in my life!!! Sea Salt caramel hot chocolate from Gheridelli's I highly recommend you try it if you ever get a chance!
Lovin on Mater
Getting ready with his 3D glasses!
Tuesday we relaxed and hung out at the hotel again. It was a good time to relax and enjoy. Clint and Phillip headed to a baseball game and we got to be with the boys and enjoy being on vacation. Also a man from Gatorland came and showed off cool animals. He had a baby crocodile, a toddler size alligator, tarantula and a huge boa constrictor. Then Easton played on his favorite thing...the slide! I think if they built a big theme park of just slides and climbing things and trampolines Easton would be in heaven!!!
Wednesday as the men went to another game we went to Epcot. I loved this park. Easton had a really fun time playing with all the interactive stuff and we also got to see a lot more characters. Some of the funny things that Easton said on this trip. "Why doesn't Mickey talk? Does his voice not work? Donald's talks..but he is too crazy so I didn't hear him." Also he was nervous to go around Pluto and Goofy...because they had spikes on their face..they were just whiskers, but as a little child I can see how scary they could look. We had a lot of fun on the Nemo ride and watching the train they had there. I loved all the things they built for the countries it was so beautiful with the flower festival going on too.
Thursday we all headed to the Animal Kingdom. We rode the Safari ride first...LOVE this ride!! It was really cool to see all the animals in a crazy rocking jeep! We saw lions, giraffes, crocodiles and elephants and lots of different antelopes that I have never seen before! Also lots of rhinos and hippos. We also got to see the Lion King show which was beautiful and very fun to listen to the talented singers. That's about it though because it was a down pour after that!! It was raining like crazy and we sat and waited it out while we ate pizza but it just started raining harder. So we decided to just go and run like crazy back to our car. By the time we got back we were drenched, but it was warm rain so it actually was kind of fun. Although the lil' boys stayed dry they were under a plastic cover. I actually could have stayed and enjoyed it if I would have had a rain jacket, it was nice to play out in the rain again!
Maddux didn't quite like the crazy Safari Ride
Although I think Easton had fun!
It was a really fun trip and I am so glad that Phillip and Cathy went with us!! Such great memories to have with their Grandma and Grandpa!! The best part of the trip was seeing our boys interact with them. We miss living close to them and are so happy when they get to spend some quality time with our boys!! One last funny thing Easton said, Cathy said he looked down at his hand so serious and looked up with the most serious face and said "look Grandma I am missing a finger" looking between his thumb and pointy finger!! Oh so funny!
